Kubota U17-3α – 1.7 t Zero Tail Mini Excavator

The Kubota U17-3α is a 1.7-ton class zero tail swing mini excavator designed for work in very tight residential, landscaping and civil construction sites. With its ultra-compact upper structure that stays within the track width when slewing, the U17-3α can dig and swing safely alongside walls, fences and existing structures, making it ideal for driveways, backyards, drainage trenches and service work.

Powered by a fuel-efficient Kubota 3-cylinder diesel engine, the U17-3α delivers smooth, precise hydraulics and strong digging performance for its size. The variable-width undercarriage and foldable blade allow the machine to be narrowed to pass through tight access points and widened again for better stability during excavation. The operator station features easy-to-use joystick controls, ROPS/FOPS canopy and good all-round visibility, making it a popular choice for hire fleets and contractors.
