Hitachi ZC35C-5 – 3t Combined Vibration Roller

The Hitachi ZC35C-5 is a combined vibratory roller from Hitachi Construction Machinery’s ZC-5 series, belonging to the approximately 3-ton class of small road compaction equipment. This model employs a combined roller configuration (front steel wheel + rear rubber wheel), enabling high-frequency vibration compaction of asphalt surfaces while utilizing the rear rubber tire for flexible compaction. It is suitable for paving and repair work on municipal roads, rural roads, sidewalks, parking lots, and small sites.

The ZC35C-5 is equipped with a Kubota D1703-DI three-cylinder diesel engine with a rated power of 18.2 kW. Combined with its compact 2.6 m length and 1.2 m compaction width, it is highly maneuverable in urban construction sites and narrow road sections. The machine has an operating mass of approximately 2.8 t (≈2,795–2,875 kg), a static linear pressure of 127 N/cm, a dynamic linear pressure of approximately 299 N/cm, a vibration frequency of 55 Hz, and a centrifugal force of 20.6 kN, which can meet the compaction requirements of the surface layer and the base layer.
